Experience Kabuki
For people who are interested in Kabuki but do not have the time to see an entire play, you can get a “One Act Play Ticket” at the Kabukiza Theater in Tokyo. With these tickets you can sit in on 1 act of a play and listen to an English explanation by renting an English Earphone Guide. I highly recommend getting the English explanation even if you speak great Japanese as many native Japanese cannot understand Kabuki. Tickets are sold on a first come first served basis and are only good on the day of purchase. The seats are non-reserved and are sold on the 4th floor of the theater. Your travel expert cannot make these arrangements so you will have to visit the Kabukiza theater early in the morning on the day you want to see the play.

Kabuki Lecture and Play
Our Kabuki expert will meet you in a tea shop near the Kabukiza Theater in Tokyo and will teach you about Kabuki and the play you will see. The lecture will last for about 40 minutes. This will give you a good background into Kabuki and you will understand more about the play you will see. It is truly the best way to experience Kabuki.
